“The enemy will think twice”: Budanov emphasized the importance of preparing for fierce resistance to the aggressor

“A nation’s readiness to resist is one of the guarantees of lasting peace. The enemy will think twice about whether it is worth fighting a country whose population is prepared for stiff resistance,” wrote Budanov on Facebook after his working trip to Volyn.

In particular, over eight months this year, more than 1,7 thousand people underwent training at the Volyn Center for National Resistance, and the center plans to expand its activities further.

Budanov paid special attention to training youth. In his view, centers for national resistance should draw on the experience of the Plast and combine efforts with it to form a system for preparing young people who would be ready to defend the state if necessary.

During the trip, the head of the Office of the President also visited settlements near the Belarusian border. In Ratne, he inspected a newly built shelter at a lyceum designed for 425 students. Budanov emphasized that for communities located at 20–30 km from the border, ensuring the safety of children and civilians is a fundamental issue.
