Operation 'Carthage': the driver of the 'Chancellor' posted bail and was released from custody

The defendant in the “Carthage” case, the driver of Prosecutor General's Office official Sergey Krupy, Sergei Kutiy, has posted bail in the amount of 3 million hryvnias and has left the detention facility.

This was reported to KV by RBC-Ukraine, citing the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) as known.

After posting the bail, Kutiy left the pretrial detention center, but the court ordered him to observe a number of procedural restrictions. In particular, he must:

appear in person for every summons by the detective, prosecutor, and court;

inform about changes in his place of residence and work;

hand over passports for travel abroad;

refrain from communicating with other defendants in the case, in particular with Sergey Kroypiva and Yelizaveta Ivakhnenko;

consistently wear an electronic bracelet.

Sergey Kutiy is charged with participation in a criminal organization, as well as legalization of property obtained by criminal means.

According to NABU and SAP, from October 2025 year through September 2026 year he participated in the activities of a group that ensured the operation and “protection” of a fraud call center network.

As a reminder, 5 in September NABU and SAP announced the uncovering of a “criminal organization,” whose members are suspected of receiving money from fraudulent call centers and laundering multi-million earnings. The organizer of the scheme was named the head of a structural subdivision of the Office of the Prosecutor General.
