The Speaker of the Rada said elections through Diia are impossible — "it will be like Eurovision"

Elections in Diia cannot be held yet. There are "pitfalls" that arose during voting in this service at Eurovision, and there will surely be no fewer during elections. This was stated by the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, Ruslan Stefanchuk, reported by Suspline Kharkiv.

In the opinion of the deputy, holding elections in Diia in Ukraine at the present time is impossible. According to Stefanchuk, such electronic elections are currently conducted only by the country that is aggressor. And trust in the results of such a plebiscite is very low.

- And when the criminal Putin sits and "clicks" on a computer with Windows not activated and votes, then, most likely, there will be questions about the results of these elections. In addition, we are hampered by the norms of the Constitution, because elections must ensure direct voting, — Stefanchuk says.

He noted that elections must meet the main criteria — democracy, security, trust.

- It is very difficult to achieve under current conditions. Therefore I think that for now this is not very promising in the near future, — Stefanchuk thinks.

He added that he respects Diia and votes himself, but there is a nuance. In particular, one cannot allow voting in elections to resemble Eurovision and confront similar problems.

At the end of August, the head of the Office of the President, Kyrylo Budanov, urged not to allow internal division, and for this, among other things, it is worth abandoning discussions about holding elections during the war.

21 in August the head of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk stated that the parliament is already working on a law regarding the possibility of elections in Ukraine during the war. However, their specific conduct is currently completely impossible.
