Separately, the speaker recalled the experience of electronic voting through Diia during the selection of Ukraine's representative for Eurovision.

Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk believes that conducting elections through the Diia application in the near future will be difficult. According to him, such a format must meet the requirements of democracy, safety, and voters' trust. He said this during a working trip to Kharkiv, reported by Glavkom.

“Now, there is no possibility that would meet the main criteria — democracy, security, and trust — to make it possible, which is very difficult in the current conditions. Therefore I think that in the near future this is unlikely,” the speaker said.

He also drew attention to the constitutional requirements for the electoral process. “We are hitting the norms of the Constitution because elections must ensure direct voting,” Stefanchuk noted.

Separately, the speaker recalled the experience of electronic voting through Diia during the selection of Ukraine's Eurovision contestant. “Regarding Diia — I have respect for Diia, I vote with it myself, but I do not want us to have what happened during Eurovision voting in presidential or parliamentary elections,” he said.

Stefanchuk also stated that electronic elections are limited in use worldwide. “Among countries in the world, electronic elections are practically blessed only in the Russian Federation. And when criminal Putin sits and clicks on a computer with an inactive Windows and votes, there will probably be questions about the results of these elections,” the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada stated.

At the same time, he emphasized that the issue of conducting elections in Ukraine requires consideration of security and legal requirements.
