The government approved new rules for medical facilities' operations during alarms – Pidozra

The prime minister emphasized that emergency medicine operates without interruption.

The Cabinet of Ministers approved new rules for the operation of medical facilities depending on the level of air threat. This is reported by Glavcom, citing Prime Minister Serhiy Koretsky.

Yellow level of threat.

The head of government explained that at the yellow level of alarm, medical facilities will continue to operate. 'There must be full access for workers, patients, and visitors to shelters,' he said.

Red level of threat.

However, during the red level of alarm, patients and medical staff must move to shelters. At the same time, the aid that should not be dangerously interrupted continues, including during surgeries, resuscitation, intensive care, and so on.

'Patients who cannot be moved continue to be treated in the safest possible rooms. In shelters and such rooms, medical care can be provided, medicines dispensed, and patients accommodated,' Koretsky emphasized.

The prime minister also added that emergency medicine works around the clock. 'Patients with urgent conditions are admitted regardless of the threat level. Dispatch services take calls, ambulance teams respond to patients,' he explained.

In particular, the government ordered strengthened protection of operating rooms, intensive care units, maternity and reception departments, rooms with backup power sources, and critically important medical equipment. Koretsky stressed that special attention should be paid to places where patients who cannot be moved promptly are located.

For reference, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved new rules for the operation of railways and stations according to the level of air threat. In addition, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and National Police will further bolster the protection of stations and escorting evacuations, and local authorities should adapt urban transport schedules to train movements, especially at night, and speed up the installation of mobile shelters.

Incidentally, Ukrzaliznytsia clarified the new rules that will apply during yellow and red threat levels.
