The Pentagon suddenly canceled the Polish defense minister’s visit to the US over NATO security

Polish Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz was scheduled to visit the Pentagon this Wednesday. However, the trip was suddenly canceled at the request of the United States due to NATO security concerns.

According to a press release from the Polish Ministry of National Defense, the meeting between the Polish official and his American counterpart Pete Hegseth is planned for a later date. "We inform you that, due to an urgent request from the American side, the visit to the Pentagon scheduled for Wednesday by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz is postponed. The date is currently being determined," the statement said. It added that "in light of signals from the American side, as well as the results of the NATO chiefs of staff meeting, there is a need to urgently implement new security measures for the Alliance's countries." The ministry also noted that deputy ministers Magdalena Sobkowiak and Paweł Zalewski are heading to Washington. "They will hold talks with American partners and prepare further agreements regarding our cooperation," the ministry summarized.
