Neo-imperialists in power like Putin do not hide: Ukraine must be part of or under the protectorate of Russia.

The first ambassador of independent Ukraine to Russia, Volodymyr Kryzhanivskyi, stated that Ukrainian people significantly contributed to the formation of Russian culture and education. He noted this in an interview with Glavkom.

“During the era of Kyivan Rus, it was Ukrainians who carried culture and knowledge to the Muscovites. This lasted until the 18th century. The father of Peter I, Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich, did one very interesting thing. Under his rule, the Malorossinsky prikaz was established. By the way, one of Moscow’s streets to this day bears the name Maroseyka in honor of this institution,” the former ambassador noted.

Kryzhanivskyi explained that the Malorossiysky prikaz existed, among other things, to attract Ukrainian dyaks. According to him, Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich allowed them to be invited from Ukraine and granted parishes to them. Later, dyaks became priests and opened church-affiliated schools. These were parish schools.

“So Russia was taught by Ukrainian dyaks, not by Germans or other foreigners. Therefore, the Russian Empire and its modern neo-imperialists in power like Putin do not hide: Ukraine must be in the composition of or under the protectorate of Russia. Like modern Belarus,” the former ambassador emphasized.

By the way, Volodymyr Kryzhanivskyi stated that Russia aims to seize the Donbas not because of the mines and mineral deposits located there. One of the Kremlin’s goals may be to use the region as a springboard for further advance to the south of Ukraine.
