Defense forces eliminated a colonel of the RF Armed Forces who in 2014 year betrayed Ukraine and switched to the enemy's side

19 September, the Defense Forces of Ukraine, with an FPV drone strike, eliminated on Kherson Oblast the commander of the 8 artillery regiment of the Russian Federation’s armed forces (military unit 87714), Oleksandr Isaev.

The regiment operated on the coastal tactical direction within the Dnipro group of forces of the Russian Federation, as part of the Joint Grouping of Forces (Armed Forces) of the RF, reports the project “The Book of Killers of the Ukrainian People.”

Isaev is a native of Mykolayiv. Since 1992, he served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In 2014 year, while serving as chief of staff and deputy commander of the 406 separate coastal artillery brigade of the Ukrainian Navy, he committed an act of state treason and defected to the enemy.

That same time, the traitor was appointed chief of staff — deputy commander of the 8-th artillery regiment of the 22 Army Corps of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation. In 2015 year he was discharged to reserve. In October 2022 year he returned to service to his previous position, took part in the armed aggression against Ukraine. In September 2024 he was appointed commander of the 8-th artillery regiment with the rank of “colonel.”

The “Book of Killers of the Ukrainian People” reminds us: every war crime will be investigated, every war criminal identified, found, and in the future punished.
