Not Yarmolenko: who is the most expensive footballer in Ukraine

Transfermarkt updated the market values of Ukrainian Premier League players after the summer transfer window. The most valuable player in the Ukrainian championship remains a Shakhtar foreign player.

The portal evaluated changes in the value of 180 players of the Ukrainian Premier League. Several young Shakhtar players immediately increased significantly in price, while some representatives of Dynamo and LNZ became cheaper.

Shakhtar has the most expensive UPL player

The highest price tag among UPL players now belongs to Shakhtar forward Kauan Elias. Transfermarkt values the 19-year-old Brazilian at 15 million euros.

In second place is his teammate Alisson. His market value rose immediately by 4 million euros — to 13 million. The same amount now applies to another Shakhtar player, Ryan Roberto, who also received +4 million.

The top 5 most expensive UPL players include Gabriel Carvalho and Marlon Gomes from Shakhtar, as well as Dynamo’s Matvii Ponomarenko (all at 12 million euros).

Who else increased in value after the update

The values of players from other Ukrainian clubs rose noticeably. The biggest gain at Dynamo was for Keasse Ba — plus 1,3 million euros, to 2 million.

Leandro Andrade of Polissia increased by 500 thousand euros — to 4 million. Among other significant jumps were Denys Marchenko from Karpaty (+900 thousand, to 1,5 million), Ramik Gadzhiev from Kharkiv (+1 million, to 1,5 million) and Andrusv Araujo from Polissia (+800 thousand, to 2 million).

At the same time, Oleksandr Tymchyk and Denys Popov from Dynamo lost 500 thousand euros in value each.

Separately, Transfermarkt evaluates the most expensive Ukrainian footballers: Illia Zabarnyi is worth around 40 million euros, and Vitalii Mykolenko, Anatolii Trubin and Heorhii Sudakov are at 25 million each.
