"Ukrposhta" changed service procedure in city branches: priority to parcels

The rules for operating branches during the "yellow" and "red" levels of air alarm remain unchanged.

"Ukrposhta" has changed the operation order of city branches. Now, in branches where there are more than one service window, the priority will be given to the acceptance and issuance of parcels.

This was written on Telegram by the general director of "Ukrposhta", Ihor Smilyanskyi.

First, employees will accept shipments that can be processed outside the general queue. The second priority will be the issuance of parcels, which will also be carried out outside the queue. The company explained that this solution is necessary to speed up the movement of shipments due to possible reductions in operating hours during air raid alerts.

According to the general director of "Ukrposhta", if a parcel is accepted before the alert is announced, it will have a higher chance of going to sorting and being sent on the same day.

Financial services will be provided in the usual order.

At the same time, financial services, including pension payments and bill payments, will continue to be provided in the usual order. Ukrain邮poshta noted that such operations can be carried out on the same day even after the air alert ends.

The new order has already been introduced in more than 90% of city branches that have more than one service window. There, the Express window will operate under the new rules.

The next step the company calls for is the launch of self-service stations and increasing the number of parcel machines.

Earlier, the government approved new rules for the operation of railways and stations depending on the level of air threat. At the yellow threat level, trains run on schedule, boarding and disembarking passengers occurs. At the red level, boarding and dispatching trains are suspended, and people must seek shelter.
