Ukrposhta changed the rules for city branches

Ukrposhta has changed the rules for servicing customers in city branches. From now on, receipt and delivery of parcels will have priority, and the corresponding operations will be performed out of turn. This was announced by the company's CEO Ihor Smilyansky, as reported by Hlavkom.

The first priority will be the acceptance of parcels — they will be processed out of turn. The second priority will be the issuing of shipments, which will also be carried out out of turn.

The company explained that the new measures are connected with reducing operating hours of branches during air alarms. If a parcel is accepted before the alarm is announced, it may have time to reach the sorting center and depart on schedule. If a client does not manage to process the shipment before the alarm begins, its delivery may be postponed by at least one day.

Smilyansky gave an example of delivering a parcel from Kyiv to Odesa. For the shipment to be in Odesa the next day, it must be transferred from Kyiv to 22:00. Before this, the parcel must be picked up from the branch, sorted, and loaded into a vehicle.

“And that is why, while there is an opportunity, we will accept your parcels as quickly as possible so that they start their journey to the recipient,” Smilyansky explained. The new procedure is already in effect in more than 90% of city branches that have more than one service window. There, the ‘Express Window’ will operate under the new rules.

At the same time, the procedure during “yellow” and “red” air alarms does not change. Financial services, including pension payments and payments processing, will be provided in the usual manner after the alarm ends.

It is worth noting that near Kramatorsk in Donetsk region a Russian drone attacked a Ukrposhta main transit truck. Due to the attack by the occupiers, hundreds of parcels were destroyed.
