The government allocated additional funds for restoration and protection of energy facilities in two regions – Pidozra

Koretsky: All tender procedures must be conducted promptly, and the work completed as soon as possible.

The government is directing more than 157 million UAH from the reserve fund to the restoration and protection of energy facilities in two frontline regions—the Sumy and Kherson regions. This was reported by «Glavkom», citing Prime Minister Serhiy Koretsky.

It is noted that 107 million UAH are allocated for Sumy region to restore an energy facility whose operation provides heat for nearly 160 thousand households. Also, another 50 million UAH will go to Kherson region for additional protection of eight energy facilities. There, engineering structures will be installed and anti-drone protection for critical equipment.

“All tender procedures must be conducted promptly, and the work completed as soon as possible. In conditions of limited financial resources, the government directs funds to the most critical needs, especially in frontline regions,” stressed the prime minister.

As a reminder, Ukraine’s prime minister Serhiy Koretsky noted that Ukraine is significantly better prepared for possible Russian attacks on the energy infrastructure this winter than last year. At the same time, it is impossible to protect all facilities from strikes.

As previously reported, Ukraine is preparing for what could be the harshest winter since the start of the full-scale war. Among the most vulnerable cities to new Russian strikes on energy infrastructure are Kyiv, Odesa, and Kryvyi Rih.
