Since the start of the year Russia has used over 2100 missiles of various types against Ukraine, – Zelensky

Since the beginning of this year Russia has used against Ukraine over 2100 missiles of various types, more than 950 of them were ballistic. Pressure on the aggressor still has not become total – the RF continues to rely on ballistic terror.

This was reported to KV by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, in an address to the UN General Assembly.

Also, according to the President, “over the eight months of this year Russia used 63 thousands of strike drones of various types against Ukraine. And more than 7700 of them were rocket 'Shaheds' – truly destructive and dangerous weapons.”

In the morning of 24 September, responding to another shelling of Kyiv and other regions of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky noted that each such attack is possible because pressure on the aggressor still has not become total and Russia believes it can continue to rely on ballistic terror.

“Now the United States has the opportunity to respond strongly. Ballistic interceptors are needed to protect lives. Sanctions against Russia and those who help it earn money need to be implemented. Thank you to both parties for their readiness to help protect lives,” the Head of State added.

Recall that on the night of 24 September the Russians attacked Kyiv with ballistic missiles and strike UAVs. 2 people were killed, at least 8 were injured. At the maternity hospital in the Podilskyi district, near which rocket fragments fell, windows and part of the building facade were damaged; a person was killed in the parking lot near the medical facility. The Sviato-Pokrovskyi church in Priorka, built 120 years ago, was damaged.
