Funds of 25 million hryvnias to be directed to electricity for the Chernobyl NPP

SE Chernobyl NPP plans to purchase 3,3 million kWh of electricity for October for 25,77 million hryvnias. The purchase will be funded primarily from the state budget.

This became known to KV from an announcement in the Prozorro electronic public procurement system.

As KyivVlada learned after additional analysis of the procurement documents, the expected cost is 25,77 million hryvnias excluding VAT, or 30,93 million hryvnias including VAT.

Primary funding is provided from the state budget under the program for maintaining power units, the Shelter object, and decommissioning activities of the Chernobyl NPP. 30,58 million hryvnias are allocated for this. Another 351,5 thousand hryvnias are planned to be spent from the enterprise’s own funds.

The procurement covers electricity together with distribution services. The total volume is 3,3 million kWh. Delivery will run from 1 to 31 October 2026.

Payment is to be made within five business days after delivery. A supplier has not yet been determined.

Earlier KV reported that the Education Department of the Holosiiv District State Administration plans to procure 1,4 million kWh of electricity for subordinated educational institutions for October–December 2026. The expected cost of the procurement is 16,33 million hryvnias.
