“So No One Would Want to Kill”: Zelensky Talks About Life After the Presidency

President Volodymyr Zelensky, who is trying to use help from Donald Trump to end the war by winter, said that he is striving to work in such a way that after the war and after his presidency ends, he can continue living in Ukraine and walking its streets without facing the hatred of people. He also said that he is not sure he handles the stress after years of full-scale war and is simply doing his job, the president said in an interview with The Wall Street Journal editor-in-chief Emma Tucker. According to the head of state, there are things you don’t want to do but you must. And there are many such things; it all comes down to attitude toward his work, his country, and his people. He emphasized that eventually everything revolves around people, and people provide the energy for living. There are also people who take energy away because he hates them. “So I try to live for good people. I hope there are many good people around us. I hope for that,” Zelensky said. Earlier, Zelensky stated that full return of Ukrainians to normal life after the war is impossible without the liberation of Crimea.
