In Kyiv, the "All Red" traffic-signal mode during the minute of silence was extended to 73 traffic lights

In Kyiv, the "All Red" traffic-signal mode was implemented at an additional 73 traffic-signal locations during the nationwide minute of silence. Overall, the mode is in effect on designated sections of the capital’s main thoroughfares.

KV learned this from a Kyiv City State Administration (Kyiv City State Administration — KCSA) statement.

“In the second phase, the ‘All Red’ mode was implemented at an additional 73 traffic-signal locations on Lesia Ukrainka Boulevard, Bereznyi Avenue and Povitria Syl Avenue (from Vyacheslav Chornovil Street to Solomianska Square and from Solomianska Square to Nova Street), on Yevhen Konovalets Street, Zhylianska Street, Sviatoslav Khorobryi Street and Metropolitan Vasyl Lypkivskyi Street. The mode was also extended to the end of Taras Shevchenko Boulevard and Velyka Vasylkivska Street,” the KCSA reported.

The agency emphasized that this mode is not applied during an air-raid alert — during that time traffic lights operate in the normal mode.

The restriction also does not apply to emergency and special vehicles performing urgent tasks with their special visual and audible signals on.

Recall that Kyiv has defined operating procedures for medical facilities, schools, kindergartens, administrative service centers (TsNAPs), social institutions, pharmacies, veterinary clinics and cultural institutions during different levels of air threat. Some institutions will continue operating in shelters, and at the red danger level certain establishments will stop admitting visitors.
