The aggressor country Russia is preparing comprehensive strikes against Ukraine’s energy sector this winter, and intelligence has obtained a list of targets that are planned for attacks. This was stated by Ukrainian Energy Minister Denys Shmyhal in an interview with the Inter channel, following his visit to New York. A video of the broadcast on the telethon was shown by TSN.

According to Shmyhal, Ukrainian security services obtained from the Russian side an entire “strategy of actions” for the winter, which with its cynicism and "cold terrorist calculation" shocked both Ukraine and its partners. He noted that the occupiers are preparing to strike globally: from heat supply to water supply, sanitation, destruction of Ukrainian generation, as well as interconnectors at Ukraine’s entrances from Europe and through the Dnipro.

“There are two large documents, very cold, very clearly written. With tables, with the amount of weapons required for each target to destroy it. Types of weapons – from ballistic missiles to drones with jet engines and conventional drones. Everything is calculated, the shifts – as they call them – are laid out for each target. We understand how they will act,” the minister noted.

In addition, according to the information obtained, the enemy has separate plans for large cities such as Kyiv, Kharkiv, Odesa, and cities with populations around half a million.

Shmyhal emphasized that Ukraine is preparing for the winter campaign of the Russian Federation. However, even with such preparation, it is impossible to protect all energy infrastructure with a “concrete dome,” as he put it.

At the same time, the minister expressed confidence that Ukraine will dignifiedly get through the next winter and will respond to the Russian Federation, pointing to successful Ukrainian diplomatic strikes.
