Shmyhal: Ukrainian intelligence services obtained a detailed plan of Russian attacks on the energy sector

Russians have even mapped out the types and quantities of weaponry to destroy specific facilities.

Ukrainian security services have received materials from Russia on the strategy of strikes against the energy infrastructure in winter. It details weapons for destroying generation, water- and heat-supply systems, and interconnectors.

This was reported by Ukraine's Minister of Energy, Denys Shmyhal, in a telethon interview, according to Interfax-Ukraine.

"We received from our security services materials they obtained from the Russian side. The strategy of action of Russian terrorists for this winter impressed our partners with its cynicism, with such cold terrorist calculation of how to destroy our energy sector," the minister said.

Shmyhal noted that this concerns two large documents with detailed tables and calculations, where the amount of weaponry is specified for each specific object.

According to him, the Russians possess a large amount of data about previously hit facilities, as well as those that have not yet faced strikes. Despite this, Ukraine is seriously preparing to defend the energy system.

Shmyhal: in the draft state budget for the energy sector support, almost 2027 billion UAH was allocated. The largest portion of funds will be directed to the protection and restoration of energy infrastructure and the development of distributed generation 100.
