Through a single cryptocurrency wallet passed 250 millions of dollars: what ties to the shadow accounting of Favbet owner Andriy Matyukha

Data on crypto transactions may indicate a large-scale financial infrastructure connected with Matyukha's business.

According to the investigation authors, one of the wallets that they associate with Favbet employees and other related projects has conducted about $250 million in total, of which more than $93 million is in just the last 60 days.

According to the authors, the wallet regularly receives numerous payments, which they associate with user deposits, and large sums are withdrawn from it further. More than $200 million, according to their data, was transferred to AlphaPo Deposit — a crypto service that investigators connect with opaque operations.

Another approximately $21 million allegedly arrived at another cryptocurrency wallet. Through it, in total about $700 million passed, with more than half of the funds also directed to AlphaPo.

The authors of the investigation describe these wallets as part of a possible "black" accounting of Matyukha and suggest that funds related to employee payments and the activities of bookmakers and other projects may pass through them.

At the same time, the mere fact that funds pass through cryptocurrency wallets does not prove their association with Matyuse, the origin of each payment, or evasion of taxes. Such conclusions require data on wallet owners, transaction purpose, and confirmation from law enforcement or financial authorities.
