Frosts Are Near: Indian Summer in Ukraine Has Ended, a Sharp Cold Snap Is Coming — Meteorologists Stunned by Forecast

An Indian summer continues in Ukraine, but the first frosts are arriving. More sunny days lie ahead that will allow people to enjoy the autumn weather. In the coming days the temperature background will drop: daytime 11−16º, nighttime 3−8º Celsius. At night with clear skies, the first autumn ground frosts with an intensity of 0−3º are possible, reported meteorologist Vitaliy Postryhan. During the period 29 September — 1 October Ukraine will have mostly clear skies, with no precipitation. Cool nights and mornings with temperatures of 5−10º Celsius will alternate with warm fair-weather days — 15−20º. On 30 September Ukraine will have variable cloudiness, no precipitation, except for isolated short rain showers during the day in the Sea of Azov region and in Crimea. In the western oblasts there will be fog in places at night and in the morning. The wind will be mostly northeasterly at 7−12 m/s. Nighttime temperatures 3−8° Celsius, in the south and southeast of the country up to 12°, in the Carpathians around 0°; daytime 15−20° Celsius. As Fakty wrote, autumn in Ukraine may turn out to be abnormally warm but rainy.
