Longtime Deputy of Basalaieva Moved to the Tax Service – Suspicions

The Cabinet of Ministers has dismissed Oleksandr Shkuropat from the State Audit Service and appointed him to the State Tax Service.

By government orders dated 21 October 2026 of the year № 1109-r and № 1110-r, Oleksandr Shkuropat was dismissed from the post of Deputy Head of the State Audit Service of Ukraine and appointed Deputy Head of the State Tax Service of Ukraine. This is reported by Glavkom.

In the new position, Shkuropat will serve from the date of actual assumption of duties for a term not exceeding 12 months from the date of termination or cancellation of the wartime state, but no later than 8 August 2027 year.

What is known about Oleksandr Shkuropat?

Oleksandr Shkuropat was born 8 August 1962 in the village of Mykolaivka, Dnipropetrovsk region. He holds higher education in the specialties of “Economic Cybernetics” and “Public Administration,” is a Candidate of Economic Sciences, and also a civil servant of 1 rank and a state controller of the first rank.

He began his professional activity in 1984 year as a software engineer at the Dnipro Machine-Building Plant, and since 1994 has been in public service, rising from the chief controller-auditor in the Dnipropetrovsk region to the First Deputy Head of the State Financial Inspection of Ukraine. Since July 2018 he has held the position of Deputy Head of the State Audit Service of Ukraine.

Earlier it was reported that the Cabinet of Ministers dismissed three deputy heads of the State Tax Service of Ukraine — Teodosiya Chernetska, Andriy Trocko, and Serhiy Lyseyk. The government also appointed a new deputy head of the agency, Vashyeka Halyna Volodymyrivna. The respective orders were posted on the Cabinet of Ministers site.
