Mission and Reward - monobank added a useful feature for children's cards

The monobank app 26 in October introduced a new feature for parents — tasks for children with a reward for completion. Now a monobank Child Card can be topped up not just arbitrarily, but as a reward for completed household chores. Parents set the reward amount and a deadline, and the child sees the task in their app. Money is credited to the card only after the adults confirm that the work was actually done.

The new feature was announced by Oleg Gorokhovskyi. According to him, agreements like “take out the trash — I'll give you a hundred” now have an official status in the bank’s app.

"Parents create a task for the child, set the reward and the deadline. The child sees it, completes it and presses ‘Mission completed,’" wrote monobank co-founder Oleg Gorokhovskyi.

The process is built to avoid misunderstandings between parents and the child. The task conditions cannot be changed after the child has already reported completion — adults can only confirm payment or reject it. The functionality includes several key capabilities:

both parents can create tasks, and each has their own separate list of assignments;

the child presses 'Mission completed' after the task is done;

parents check the result and confirm the payout or reject it;

overdue tasks do not disappear from the app; they remain visible with an overdue label.

Will teach children to meet deadlines

Gorokhovskyi noted that the new feature could become a child’s first experience working with task deadlines. "If a child is the first in the family to learn to close tasks by the deadline — don’t be surprised. They now have motivation," wrote Oleg Gorokhovskyi on his Telegram channel.
