Budanov: Resolving the Starshield Issue Gives Reason to Be Optimistic About Relations with the U.S.

He said this in an interview with CBS News.

“As of now, this situation is somehow resolved. That gives optimism for the future,” Budanov noted, answering a question about restrictions or slowing access to the SpaceX system.

According to him, Ukrainian-American relations have gone through difficult periods, but the countries did not reach a complete halt of cooperation. Budanov believes that now it is worth focusing on its development.

“From this, I conclude that everything will be fine even now. Let’s think about how we can establish better relations. Simply make them better, rather than look for reasons to quarrel the countries with each other,” said the head of the Office of the President.

Budanov also spoke about negotiations on a ceasefire. He noted that the willingness of all parties to meet again creates prerequisites for further dialogue.
