In 2007, she graduated with honors from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv with a degree in Law. Doctor of Juridical Science, Honored Lawyer of Ukraine. From March to May 2014, she served as Deputy Minister of Justice. Since May 2014, she has been Head of the State Registration Service of Ukraine. Since December 2014, Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers in the Yatsenyuk government. From 2016 to 2020, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine.

As minister, she was responsible for public administration reform — in particular, one of the developers and ideologists of the Law of Ukraine "On Civil Service," adopted by the Verkhovna Rada in December 2015.

Additionally, Anna Volodymyrivna Buyadzhi (maiden name—Onishchenko) is a children's author — writer of the books "New Year's Adventures of Morozenko," "Mykytas Borovychok," "Little Muck," and "The Secret Order of the Great Skate."
