Combat Nurse and Volunteer

Yana studied at the medical college in Kremenchuk and at the medical faculty of Poltava State Medical University, but did not complete her studies. At the beginning of the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO), she submitted documents to the military commissariat — she worked as an orderly at the 66th Military Mobile Hospital, then as a nurse in the surgical department. Since 2018, she has been with the 25th Separate Airborne Brigade. She is a recipient of the medals “For the Defense of Avdiivka,” “For Saved Lives,” and the breastplate “For Excellent Service.”

The Sheremet Case: Suspicion and Documents from the Frontline

On December 12, 2019, Arsen Avakov announced Dugar as one of five suspects in the murder of journalist Pavlo Sheremet — the bombing of his car in Kyiv on July 20, 2016. She was accused of complicity. The following day, MP Yana Zinkevych confirmed with documents that Dugar was on combat positions in Donbas from June 3 to September 26, 2016 — during and after the murder. The preventive measure — house arrest — was imposed by Judge Serhiy Vovk, known for his controversial rulings.

Correspondence with Zelensky and Surveillance

Dugar confirmed that she personally corresponded with President Zelensky, trying to draw attention to her case. In August 2021, she reported being under surveillance, linking it to "those who know the real criminals." She did not appeal to law enforcement: “I have personally experienced how criminal cases can be falsified.” The case is still under trial.
