Fedoriv Iryna Pavlivna

Civil activist and blogger with criminal proceedings from the Security Service of Ukraine and a lawyer

Positions herself as an independent journalist, activist, and founder of the public organization “GOLKA.” Manages a Facebook page and publishes on platforms like "Ukrainian Pravda. Blogs." In 2020, she headed the election headquarters of the former mayor of Kotsyubynske urban-type settlement in Kyiv region, Matyushyna. Previously, during Yanukovych's era, she received commendations from the Prosecutor General's Office, Ministry of Emergency Situations, Security Service of Ukraine, and Ministry of Internal Affairs — which resembles evidence of close cooperation with state bodies of that time.

Two criminal proceedings, a warning from the Commission on Journalistic Ethics, and accusations of financing from the Russian GRU

The Commission on Journalistic Ethics issued Fedoriv a warning regarding the material “MP-marauder Horobets...” (February 2022) — for exceeding the bounds of criticism, emotional coloring, violation of presumption of innocence, and lack of clear distinction between facts and judgments. In response, Fedoriv called the Commission a “club.” The Kyiv branch of the Security Service of Ukraine is investigating criminal proceeding No. 22024101110000541 dated 16.07.2024: according to the complainant, Matyushyna’s 2020 election campaign was financed by Russian military intelligence through assistant to MP Derkach, Ihor Kolesnikov (convicted in 2022 for treason), and Fedoriv allegedly received money from him for commissioned publications. Separately, in March 2025 a criminal proceeding No. 12025105100000394 was registered based on a complaint by lawyer Rostyslav Kravets: Fedoriv’s publication on “GOLKA” was qualified as interference with legal practice.
