Person information
IT entrepreneur, developer, and fintech specialist
Grusha is the co-founder and CEO of the crypto neobank Trustee Plus. He was born on November 11, 1985, in Vinnytsia, and graduated from Vinnytsia National Technical University majoring in computer systems and networks. He began his professional career over 16 years ago as a programmer on large enterprise projects (including working with financial systems of Bank of America and HSBC). In the blockchain industry, Vadim Grusha has been developing his own solutions since 2013, gaining his first global recognition after winning the New York Consensus 2017 hackathon. Together with his partner Ksenia Zhytomyrska, he initially created the non-custodial wallet Trustee Wallet, and later a large-scale custodial digital finance platform Trustee Plus, which by 2025–2026 serviced hundreds of thousands of users.
Under severe pressure from European security agencies and financial regulators
In May 2026, the Minister of the Interior and Administration of Poland, relying on materials from the Internal Security Agency (ABW) and Moldovan special services, included the servicing company UAB Trustee Global on the national sanctions list. The Polish authorities applied a complete asset freeze on the company due to detected direct business links with the Russian Federation and the likely use of the wallet's payment infrastructure in the interests of the sanctioned agent network of oligarch Ilan Shor. This coincided with earlier problems in Ukraine: in September 2025, the National Bank of Ukraine officially banned Trustee Global from providing payment services to Ukrainians due to the lack of local licenses. Additional resonance in September 2026 was caused by mass client complaints about unjustified prolonged cryptocurrency blocking under the pretext of AML checks amid the company’s license revocation in Lithuania. Vadim Grusha categorically denies any ties with Russia.
