Hryvko Serhii Dmytrovych

Does not know what SAP is, wants to shoot soldiers and tax the childless, while lobbying for tobacco companies

Serhii Hryvko is one of the most scandalous "Servants of the People" not because of corruption, but due to legislative incompetence and exotic initiatives. Before becoming a deputy, he was the chairman of the NGO "Volunteers Council," founder of the NGO "Center for Crime and Corruption Counteraction," and a member of the youth council at the Chernihiv City Council. He entered the Parliament in 2019 from "SN" (Servant of the People) — and immediately became a generator of legislative ideas that regularly outraged society.

Hryvko is a co-initiator of the scandalous draft law No. 7351, which gave commanders the right to independently kill servicemen for failure to obey orders without any proper proof of circumstances. The draft law was assessed by the media as an attempt to restore the death penalty in Ukraine — amid a full-scale war. Despite the obvious illegitimacy of the idea, Hryvko defended it.

Registry of astrologers, tax on childlessness, and tobacco lobbying

In November 2023, he initiated the creation of a state registry of astrologers, tarologists, and numerologists. In May 2024, he registered a draft law on a "tax on childlessness" for all citizens aged 21–58 with fewer than three children. Following a wave of criticism, he withdrew both documents without explanation. The media also characterize him as a lobbyist for the interests of tobacco companies.
