Retail Magnate and Sales Architect
Yevhen Petrovych Yermakov is a major Ukrainian businessman, millionaire, and co-owner of the ATB-Market corporation, which is the largest chain of grocery supermarkets in Ukraine. Born on March 15, 1961, he obtained his specialized education at the Donetsk Institute of Soviet Trade and began his career in big business in the early 1990s by co-founding the company “Agrotechbusiness.” Together with partners Hennadiy Butkevych and Viktor Karachun, he built a huge discount empire, historically responsible for the key direction — organizing and scaling sales. As one of the most private figures in Ukrainian Forbes, Yermakov owns one-third of the company’s shares and has capital worth hundreds of millions of dollars, accumulating significant financial assets in retail and related industries.
Foreign Luxury During Wartime
Despite long-standing privacy, in autumn 2026 the oligarch's name was at the center of a high-profile journalistic investigation by the detective agency Absolution Leaks, which accuses Yevhen Yermakov of moral and ethical misconduct and capital flight from a country at war. Specifically, investigators accuse the businessman of spending approximately 100 million dollars on purchasing the 55-meter superyacht Serena and a personal Bombardier aircraft while Ukraine fights for survival and raises funds for defense. Additionally, media discussions have repeatedly questioned the specifics of registering these assets under foreign offshore structures and relatives, raising justified public suspicions regarding tax minimization obligations in Ukraine and the real priorities of one of the wealthiest citizens of the state during a critical time for the country.
