Son of SBU General Vasyl Vovk, a prosecutor with a 'zeroed' family and million-worth real estate registered to his parents
A prosecutor in the department overseeing the compliance of laws by the SBU and the State Border Guard Service of the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office. Son of Major General of Justice Vasyl Vovk — former head of the Main Investigative Department of the SBU, who handled the most high-profile cases of state treason and terrorism. In his 2023 declaration, Igor Vovk stated that "due to the absence of information about household members," he did not provide any data about his parents, despite the fact that he effectively uses real estate worth millions of hryvnias together with them and other relatives.
Six real estate objects shared with parents and relatives — none declared
According to the registry of property rights, Igor Vovk is a co-owner or user of the following properties: an apartment in Kyiv (108 sq. m, 2009, ~480 thousand UAH) — jointly with his father Vasyl Vovk, mother Tetiana, and sister Angelina; an apartment in Vinnytsia (128 sq. m, 1998, ~90 thousand UAH) and a garage (20 sq. m) — together with the same relatives. Registered solely to Igor Vovk are: an apartment in Kyiv (75.69 sq. m, 2019, ~1 million UAH), a parking space (12.5 sq. m, 2020, ~313 thousand UAH), and a plot for individual summer house construction (420 sq. m, 2020, ~43 thousand UAH). Also declared is an Audi A6 (2018), purchased in 2021 for ~400 thousand hryvnias. However, the 2023 declaration lacks a section on family members — parents, with whom he jointly owns real estate, officially “do not exist.”
