Kasparyan Artem Yervandovych

Ukrainian lawyer, human rights activist, and public figure from Odessa

Kasparyan is a co-founder of the well-known English-language informational and analytical media project The Ukrainian Review, which informs the international community about events in Ukraine, as well as coordinates the activities of the initiative “SOS Ukraine.” In addition, Kasparyan serves as a lawyer and co-founder of the architectural bureau Urban Buro, which works on projects related to urbanism, architecture, and the restoration of Ukrainian cities.

Activity in politics and the public sector

He gained wide recognition in regional politics and the public sector as an active member and one of the leaders of the Odessa civic organization “Common Goal,” which fights against illegal construction and defends citizens’ interests. In 2020, Kasparyan ran as a candidate for the Odessa City Council from the political party “Strength and Honor” in the Kyivskyi district of the city, where he focused on infrastructure issues, particularly on developers' unfulfilled promises to build a school in the Altair residential complex.
