Former Head of Sumy Regional State Administration from the BPP, appointed under the patronage of the scandalous Derkach — flew to Naples for vacation a week after appointment

Appointed Head of the Sumy Regional State Administration on December 26, 2014, under the patronage of MP Andriy Derkach — a former member of the Party of Regions who voted for the "dictatorial laws" on January 16, 2014. On January 3, 2015, just a week after his appointment, Klochko flew to Naples with his wife. Before that, he was Chairman of the Sumy Regional Council in 2014, a participant in the "Orange Revolution" and the "Pora!" campaign, and headed the Sumy branch of Yatsenyuk's "Front for Change."

Failed promises, dangerous chemicals, and disappearance from politics

Workers were laid off at the Sumy Machine-Building Plant, despite Klochko's public promise to prevent this. He also failed to deal with companies that, despite losing their licenses, continued transporting dangerous chemicals in Shostka. After being dismissed from his post in June 2019, he effectively disappeared from public politics.
