Former Director of Kostopil Forestry Enterprise with Millions in Cash at Home

Since 2000 — Director of Volodymyrets Forestry Enterprise, from 2009 to 2012 — Director of the Kostopil Forestry State Enterprise, later headed the Mlyniv Forestry Enterprise and returned to Kostopil Forestry as director of the branch of the State Forestry Enterprise "Forests of Ukraine". Ran for the Rivne Regional Council from the All-Ukrainian Union "Fatherland" party but was not elected. Owner of LLC "Company REI" and founder of NGO "MRK "Forester"".

DBR Suspicion: 44.3 Million UAH in Illegal Assets, $650,000 Cash at Home and a "Gift" from a Pensioner

On June 13, 2025, the State Bureau of Investigation (DBR) notified the former director of Kostopil Forestry Enterprise of suspicion of illegal enrichment: during searches at his residence, over $650,200, €481,625, and 500,000 UAH in cash were seized. The total amount of illegally acquired property is estimated at 44.3 million UAH. To legalize part of the assets, he provided documents allegedly showing the transfer of money to him for safekeeping by another individual; additionally, he submitted false information in his declaration about a gift worth 4 million UAH and did not declare balances in his bank accounts. A separate episode involves a Mercedes car worth 4.7 million UAH registered to his pensioner mother born in 1940, who only receives a pension and has a subsidy — meaning she could not have purchased such a vehicle with her own funds.
