Who is Misko A. O.
Misko A. O. is an employee of the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) of Ukraine. His name was previously unknown to the general public, as the activities of the bureau's operatives and investigators are usually non-public. He came into the focus of mass media and OSINT investigators in September 2026.
Scandal over the "leak" of SBU counterintelligence data
The name of SBI employee Misko was mentioned in connection with a large-scale reputational scandal that erupted immediately after a loud night shooting in Kyiv between SBU special forces and fighters of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense. The conflict arose during searches related to Deputy Commander of the RDC Stepan Kaplunov.
Famous Ukrainian blogger Ihor Lachenko (Lachen) publicly stated that it was SBI employee Misko A. O. who sent an official request to obtain personal data and confidential information about the SBU counterintelligence officers involved in that covert operation.
According to the blogger, Misko carried out this data collection on the personal instructions of SBI Director Oleksiy Sukhachov. Subsequently, this secret information strangely appeared in the public domain—published by former MP Ihor Mosiychuk on his Telegram channel, effectively "declassifying" active officers of the Ukrainian special service during the war.
