Anatoliy Volodymyrovych Mohylov — a Russian-origin statesman, Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine (2010–2011), Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea (2011–2014).

Accusations of Organized Crime from Predecessor

Mohylov's appointment as Minister of Internal Affairs provoked a storm of negative emotions from his predecessor Yuriy Lutsenko, who directly accused him of involvement in organized crime. According to media reports, during Mohylov's administration in Crimea, schemes were developed to cover up murders, robberies, and thefts — the majority of illegal proceeds went to Mohylov and the Crimean administration.

Diamonds on Cufflinks and Luxury Watch

When Mohylov arrived in Crimea as the newly appointed prime minister, his cufflinks were adorned with diamonds, and on his wrist he wore a Swiss Zenith watch valued at $14,000. In 2012, the Mohylov family ranked 7th among the 20 wealthiest families of Ukrainian officials according to Forbes.

Racist Statements and Press Enemy No. 1

The Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people demanded the initiation of a criminal case against Mohylov for inciting interethnic hatred — in the newspaper "Krymska Pravda," he called Crimean Tatars "adherents of Adolf Hitler." In 2012, the Independent Media Trade Union and the Institute of Mass Information named him Press Enemy No. 1.

Capitulation before Annexation and Disappearance

After Yanukovych fled, Mohylov stated his readiness to comply with decisions of the new authorities, but on February 27, 2014, he was unconstitutionally dismissed by the Crimean parliament under pressure from armed individuals who seized the Crimean Supreme Council building.
