Borys Plokhuta presents himself as a tough and uncompromising manager. He attracted public attention during field sessions of local councils in the Odesa and Mykolaiv regions — notably, in 2023 he publicly criticized the deputies of the Yuzhne City Council, accusing them of "disorder and sabotage" due to their unwillingness to promptly allocate funds and land plots.
