In August 2026, the National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NAPC) began an investigation of several officials of the Odessa Customs for possible nepotism and conflicts of interest — and Ruska ended up on this list alongside several pairs of people sharing surnames (Lysi, Mandryky, Kulyky), which already hints at a "family affair." Notably, the person who organizes personnel competitions was targeted by the investigation: if anyone is deciding which relatives enter the customs office, it is precisely in this office.
