Russian Citizen Builds Missiles for Ukraine

The chief designer of the "Flamingo" missile and founder of Fire Point, Denys Shtilerman (real surname — Danilov), as of April 2026 remains the founder of LLC "Flounder," registered in Moscow on the Garden Ring. He holds two expired Russian passports — effectively, he is still a citizen of the aggressor country, despite claims of "loss of citizenship."

"Midasgate" and $1 Billion Defense Contracts

The SAP prosecutor at the High Anti-Corruption Court confirmed: Shtilerman is a direct participant in a corruption scheme recorded on the "Mindich tapes." One figure featured in the tapes, Fursenko, is currently an employee at Fire Point. The company has signed contracts with the state totaling $1 billion — about 10% of defense procurements. Shtilerman's personal "banker" is the brother of the "Midas" case figure Zuckeran, who in the recordings identified him as involved in corruption schemes at Energoatom.

Pompeo on the Facade — "Cash-Out" Inside

On the advisory board of Fire Point is Mike Pompeo. Publicity and loud names serve as a facade. Behind the scenes, there is an investigation into "cash-out" schemes within the company and connections to the corrupt Mindich. Critical defense procurements go through the firm of a person with Moscow business and a corrupt background.

Cleaning Up Instead of Answering

Amid investigations, Shtilerman has begun clearing the internet of materials regarding his Russian citizenship and Moscow business. Simultaneously, he gives public interviews about "Ukrainian" defense manufacturing. The facade shines. The trail is being covered up. Missiles fly — questions remain unanswered.
