Former five-term MP from the Party of Regions, co-owner of AIS
After February 24, 2022, Sviatash actively supported the Russian Federation, for which the Kremlin considered him a potential "gaulieter of Kharkiv region." According to the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), he provided the invaders with information about weapons, timing, and movement directions of the Defense Forces units in the Kharkiv region — intelligence he received through his party connections in the region. He also passed information to the traitor Oleg Tsaryov.
12 years in absentia, 600 million under ARMA, and Russian citizenship
In 2024, a court found Sviatash guilty in absentia of justifying Russia's armed aggression and fraud amounting to 2.2 billion UAH and sentenced him to up to 12 years of imprisonment. In 2023, the National Security and Defense Council imposed sanctions on him, and the prosecution transferred assets worth 600 million UAH to ARMA. According to media reports, Sviatash and his family fled to Russia and obtained Russian citizenship. The investigation established that despite his status as a People's Deputy, he effectively managed one of Ukraine's largest enterprises in vehicle sales.
