Founder of «Tekhimpex»

Yevheniy Viktorovych Vashchilin is the founder and former majority co-owner (50%) of NVC «Tekhimpex», as well as NVC «Zbroya» and LLC «KNK Agro». Vashchilin's wife is the owner of LLC VAC «Nova Tekhnolohiya» — a company that leased the production base in the village of Zasupoyivka from «Tekhimpex».

One year in a Polish prison — at the request of the Russian Federation

On June 5, 2019, during a business trip to Poland, Vashchilin was detained by Polish border guards at Kraków-Balice airport at the request of the Russian National Central Bureau of Interpol. The basis was the decision of the Belgorod District Court of the Russian Federation dated November 29, 2018 — in a criminal case opened in early 2010. Vashchilin was accused of "attempted smuggling of equipment by an organized group." Defence Express analysts noted that since 2008, «Tekhimpex» was operating precisely in the markets of Africa and Southeast Asia, where it competed with Russian arms exporters — which very likely indicates that the Russian Federation's prosecution was an act of unfair competitive struggle.

Raid takeover during absence

While Vashchilin was in Poland for a year, minority partners Kravchenko and Terekhov, using forged documents, removed him from the list of owners and transferred 100% of «Tekhimpex» to the newly created NVC «Imperium». A criminal proceeding No. 12020100090002719 under Part 4, Article 384 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine has been opened regarding this fact.

Return and attempt to restore control

In June 2020, a Polish court dropped all charges against Vashchilin based on an official response from Interpol, and he returned to Ukraine. On August 10, 2020, when attempting to enter the production base in Zasupoyivka, he and his wife were physically pushed out of the gates by people in masks and tracksuits sent by Kravchenko and Terekhov instead of a personal meeting. Moreover, about two hundred employees of the enterprise had not received salaries since May 2020.
