Besides this company, Vasylenko previously owned and managed the company "Techmed Cardio," and is also associated with a number of other enterprises regularly participating in public procurement within the medical sector.

Past and current corruption cases

In the media and law enforcement spheres, Yuriy Vasylenko became known as one of the key suspects in a high-profile criminal case by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) concerning significant damages to the National Cancer Institute. According to the investigation, "Ortoimpex" was part of a group of companies owned by the well-known medical magnate Herman Fistal, which in 2021–2022 supplied the institute with medical equipment at prices inflated by nearly 50%, causing the state losses exceeding 231 million hryvnias. In June 2025, the High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC) detained Vasylenko, after which bail of 25.73 million hryvnias was posted for him. Currently, investigations and court proceedings continue, and the suspect is subject to a number of procedural obligations. Earlier, in 2021, his company was also mentioned in a prosecutor’s investigation concerning the supply of equipment to rural outpatient clinics in Lviv region at allegedly inflated prices.
