Zayichko Hryhoriy Petrovych

Zayichko is a native of Lysianka settlement in Cherkasy Oblast, who since January 2023 has held the position of director of the municipal enterprise "Cherkasy Operational Linear Department of Motor Roads" (MP "CHELUASH") of the Cherkasy City Council. Before this appointment, he worked for about half a year at the enterprise as deputy director, and was approved for the managerial position by the city mayor Anatoliy Bondarenko without an open competition. Under his leadership, the municipal enterprise ensures the maintenance, repair of roads, and operation of stormwater systems in Cherkasy.

Declarations and Allegations

The official became involved in high-profile anti-corruption scandals after the National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP) found signs of false information in his declarations amounting to over 14 million hryvnias. In particular, despite official incomes for the period from 1999 to 2021 totaling slightly more than 300 thousand hryvnias, Zayichko declared million-hryvnia assets in cash and a two-story house near Kyiv, explaining the origin of the wealth by stating that the money was "gifted to him by friends for his humanity." Additionally, journalists from the publication "18000" released an investigation about hidden elite real estate and undeclared premium cars used by the official. Meanwhile, the enterprise MP "CHELUASH" during the same period was involved in criminal proceedings regarding embezzlement of budget funds and overpayments in procurements of salt and tires.
