115 stores, 55 billion UAH revenue, and owners with ties to the DPR
Comfy is the largest network of electronics and household appliances in Ukraine, with 115 stores in 56 cities. The legal owner is the Cypriot Comfy Holdings Limited, the ultimate beneficiaries are Stanislav Ronis (66.5%) and Svitlana Hutsul. Both have been found to be deeply connected with business in Russia and the occupied territories.
Business in the DPR in 2025
Companies owned by Hutsul, her son, and an offshore structure have been operating in occupied Donetsk since 2014, obtaining permits from the so-called "state" authorities of the "DPR." As of September 2025, the companies were actively conducting business activities in the occupied territory, and their director is a local resident who acquired a Russian passport in 2021.
Trademark in Russia
Majority owner Ronis has a significant history of ties with the Russian market. The Cypriot company owning the network filed an application to register the "Comfy" trademark in Russia in 2014 — the patent was valid until 2024. Simultaneously, journalists uncovered a scheme through which Comfy avoided paying 46 million UAH in taxes. To increase online traffic, the company used Russian websites with redirects — some resources operated under this scheme even in 2025. Public statements by management about "complete lack of dialogue with the state" and being among the top 100 taxpayers — against these facts appear more as PR than reality.
