About DEMALLIANCE (DEMOCRATIC ALLIANCE)
The political party "Democratic Alliance" was formed as a civic-political movement, which traces its origins back to 1996 when a team of activists began activities in the civil society sector. In 2010, a decision was made to create a political force, and by 2011 the party was officially registered. A significant stage in its development was participation in the events of the Revolution of Dignity, during which Democratic Alliance activists took part in protests and faced persecution.
The party builds its activities on the principles of openness, democracy, and human-centricity. Its strategic goal is the formation of an open state integrated into the global economic and cultural space, focused on citizens' rights and the development of a modern economy.
Organizationally, DemAlliance has a clear structure based on regional and hierarchical principles. Major decisions are made at the level of congresses, the political council, and the party's governing bodies. The team combines several areas of activity, including a youth wing, a women's organization, and social initiatives, allowing it to cover various spheres of public life.
In the 2020 local elections, the party nominated over 150 candidates across various regions of Ukraine, including candidates for mayoral positions. This demonstrates the political force's desire to develop its presence at the local level and influence community governance.
The party's leadership consists of co-chairs and board members responsible for strategic development and activity coordination. Until 2020, the party was led by Vasyl Hatsko, after which management passed to a new team.
