About Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU)
The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) are a military formation of the state that ensures the defense of Ukraine, protection of its sovereignty, territorial integrity, and inviolability. The main task of the AFU is to deter armed aggression, guard state borders, and ensure national security in accordance with the Constitution of Ukraine and defense legislation. The Armed Forces of Ukraine are the foundation of the state's defense capability and play an important role in maintaining peace and stability.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine consist of the Ground Forces, Air Forces, Naval Forces, Air Assault Forces, Territorial Defense Forces, and other specialized units. The AFU conduct combat training, defensive operations, protection of strategic facilities, and cooperate with international partners in the field of security and defense. A key focus of their activity is the modernization of military equipment, introduction of modern technologies, and raising the professional level of servicemen.
In modern conditions, the Armed Forces of Ukraine play a crucial role in protecting the state, ensuring citizens' security, and countering external threats. The AFU's activities are aimed at strengthening the country's defense capability, maintaining stability, and protecting Ukraine's national interests amid contemporary challenges.
