About Foreign Intelligence Service (FIS)
The Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine (FIS) is a state special agency that conducts intelligence activities outside Ukraine with the aim of protecting national interests, state security, and the country’s sovereignty. The main task of the service is to obtain, analyze, and transmit information about external threats, international political processes, economic risks, and other factors that may affect the state's security. The FIS operates in accordance with the Constitution of Ukraine, legislation in the intelligence sector, and international security norms.
The powers of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine include conducting intelligence operations, analytical activities, countering international terrorism, cyber threats, and other challenges to national security. The agency collaborates with Ukrainian state structures and foreign partner intelligence services to ensure information exchange and coordination of actions in the field of international security.
