About Appeal Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court

The Appeal Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine is a separate structural unit of the HACC that reviews judicial decisions in cases related to corruption crimes and offences. The main purpose of the chamber's activity is to ensure the legality, fairness, and objectivity of court decisions made by first-instance judges. The Appeal Chamber operates in accordance with the Constitution of Ukraine, criminal procedural legislation, and international standards of justice.

The powers of the Appeal Chamber of the HACC include consideration of appeals against verdicts, rulings, and other procedural decisions of the High Anti-Corruption Court. The chamber’s judges analyze the case circumstances, verify the correct application of legal norms, and ensure compliance with procedural requirements during the trial. Based on the appeal review, the court may uphold the decision unchanged, modify it, or annul and render a new decision in accordance with the law.

In the current context, the Appeal Chamber of the HACC plays an important role in ensuring the effective anti-corruption policy of the state, enhancing public trust in the judicial system, and providing independent and transparent justice in cases of significant public importance.
