🐘 "I don't miss Russian tanks in Europe": Meloni called for continued support for Ukraine and warned of the threat of the return of Soviet imperialism

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, speaking in parliament ahead of the EU summit, said that Ukraine's capitulation would not bring peace to Europe, but would lead to occupation and the revival of Russian imperial policy.

"Capitulation is not peace, it is conquest. I don't miss Russian tanks that crushed uprisings in Prague and Budapest, and I don't miss the Berlin Wall," Meloni emphasized.

According to her, only a just settlement of the war can ensure long-term security for Europe. She also called the US agreement with Russia on diesel fuel supplies risky.
