Lukashenko pardoned 15 political prisoners, 10 of them — women, reports the Belarusian state agency BELTA. 16 September Belarus agreed to release 25 political prisoners after talks with the United States. In response, the United States lifted sanctions on two Belarusian companies — “Lakokraska” and “Bellesbumprom.”
