This week the High Anti-Corruption Court celebrates the 7 anniversary of its work. So we decided to take stock and look at whom the SCAC has jailed for corruption.
We could not start the column without mentioning conversations that to some extent cast a shadow on the SCAC’s reputation. These are excerpts of dialogues that may indicate friendly relations between some judges and Iryna Mudra, possible influence over the election of the SCAC chair, and a "leak" of Mykyta's cases.

Over 7 years of work the SCAC has issued 431 verdicts concerning 601 persons, of which: 33 verdicts were acquittals and 398 were convictions (of those, 211 based on plea agreements).

2️⃣ Member of Parliament from Servant of the People Anatoliy Hunko (4 years)
3️⃣ Former judge of the Dnipro District Court of Kyiv Mykola Chaus (8,5 years)
4️⃣ Former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Vsevolod Knyaziev (5 years)
In addition, one can mention these verdicts: former Prosecutor General's Office official Dmytro Sus (7 years behind bars); former MP Ruslan Solvar (3 years imprisonment); former director of the Institute of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences Orest Furdichko (8 years in prison).
By the way, the SCAC also considers cases of civil confiscation. This is a tool that allows for the rapid confiscation of assets whose origin cannot be proven. Overall the SCAC confiscated unjustified assets from 48 officials totaling almost 230 million UAH.
But despite real results, in many high-profile cases verdicts from the SCAC have to be waited for years.
